PUT: Defference between A-PUT and PUT

I’m going to talk about a difference between advanced PUT and PUT. I have experienced both kinds of PUT. So I understand both of them. Advanced Put is called A-PUT for short. It is held in second year student. So most second year students speak English more fluently than first year students.

Then PUT is held by 3 students and a teacher. But A-PUT is held by 6 students and a teacher. So students have to speak English more positive in A-PUT.

Teachers try to talk everyone in each group. But 6 students are a little many. So teachers have students talk each other.

In PUT of first year, students have to download and printout a few papers and write the answer each question as homework. But in case of A-PUT, students just printout only article. Students have to read the article. And they should have own opinions to the article. The article mainly relate to social problems. Students can learn not only English but also social problems. It is a useful class.

Students cooperate to make a mind map in A-PUT. First, each teacher decides a topic. Second, students relate the topic to something and students have to say opinions. Each student decides other topics from the mind map. And the student has to research the topic.

How to Choose a University

I’m also going to talk about difference of how to choose a university from different point between Japanese and American students. First, in case of Japanese students, people evaluate each university by a value or difficulty. For example in Japanese people evaluate Tokyo university very high level. But in American, something students studying is asked by society. So American students make a point of environment that each student can concentrate on studying in university.

Next, I’m going to talk about an entrance and graduation in American universities. Graduation from university in America is more difficult than Japan. About 50 percent of students can not graduate from university. Entering university is easy but graduating is difficult. So many students study very hard to graduate. In case of Japan, most students don’t study too much because entering university is difficult. It is difference between American and Japanese students. And American universities don’t have a system of failure. So if students can not get enough credits to graduate, they must leave own university

As last, we want to advise for exchange students. We think exchange students should make Japanese friends because they adapt themselves to Japanese culture. If they worry about something, they should talk to adviser in Japanese university. Most Japanese universities have good facilities for exchange students. May be the adviser help them.

Games for Halloween

I will renew my blog. Recently, I did a presentation so I will upload my speech.

I’m going to talk about a game for Halloween. It is an “apple bobbing”. It is a kind of Halloween game. I will explain how to play apple bobbing. This game needs a barrel, water and apple only. It is a very simple game. Kids stand in front of a barrel and they just eat an apple of the inside of the barrel without using their hands at all.

I’m going to talk about another game. It is a Toilet paper Mummy. I will introduce how to do this game. First, this game needs toilet paper, masking tape and people have to decide a referee. People make four or five team. The goal of the game is wrap the person up in toilet paper, and the best looking toilet paper mummy. The teams have only 10 minutes. Finally the judge has to decide who the best looking mummy is. Then the best looking mummy is the winner. If you have a chance, try to play these games.
